Seyðisfjörður is a known Instagram place in Iceland, most people have seen a picture of a small colorful church with a rainbow street in front. Seyðisfjörður has around 650 inhabitants and is a very beautiful and colorful town, it also has quite colorful art life and in Skaftfell cultural center you can find art shows, gallery, bistro and more they also have the Technical Museum of East Iceland in Seyðisfjörður. In the summer in the middle of July, they have an art festival called Lunga where young artists from all over the world come together to create, it consists of art, music and good vibes. Lón Campsite is a little campsite that not many people know about. This campsite can be a little bit hard to get to especially if it's been raining a lot the road can be bad and even flooded. Normally only used over the summertime due to difficult road conditions and snow on the road in the winter time. To get to Lón campsite you'll drive through a summer house neighborhood and into the mountains. Very important to treat this place respectfully and pay for your stay. There is no one working there only a jar to pay for the facilities that the landowner has made, so he can service the campsite.…

Hvalnesskriður is one of the scariest parts of the ring road a road lying along the east coast. Steep road lying just above the open ocean. The road has though been improved a lot in the last few years and is always getting better. On a rainy day, you can expect some loose rock to fall from the hillside on to the road. In the middle of this road, there is a nice viewpoint over the coastline. Makes a great Instagram picture.…
Eskifjörður is my favorite town in the east because they have the best ski resort in Iceland in my opinion. The ski resort is a little bit out of town and up the mountain, it's called Oddsskarð if you want to check it out. Another reason to go to Eskifjörður is that they have the best swimming pool in the east fjord. In Eskifjörður you also find a museum about fishing and some beautiful old house along the harbor. StapavÃk is a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the view of the coastline and a great photography spot. Always be careful of the ocean on beachfront like this. Never go to close the power of the ocean is very strong and has taken many lives. It is possible sometimes in the summer with a 4x4 car to drive the old road along the coastline. Hengifoss is among the highest waterfalls in Iceland around 128,5 meters.
