Hvalnesskriður is one of the scariest parts of the ring road a road lying along the east coast. Steep road lying just above the open ocean. The road has though been improved a lot in the last few years and is always getting better. On a rainy day, you can expect some loose rock to fall from the hillside on to the road. In the middle of this road, there is a nice viewpoint over the coastline. Makes a great Instagram picture.
