Teigarhorn is the best known place in Iceland to find Zeolite and not only in Iceland also in the world. Zeolites are microporous, aluminosilicate minerals. You can also find very large crystals there, Teigarhorn is a conservation site. The highest recorded temperature in Iceland was there in 1939, 30,5°celcius. Important to not touch or take any crystals or Zeolite from this area, it’s protected and should be respected.
