Is a very small town located on the road n°1 between Hella and Vik, there are around 800 peoples living there. Close to the road, you can find a gas station and a small grocery store and at the entrance of the town there’s a new exhibition center about Icelandic volcanos called Lava Center, a must see if you’re interested into volcanic activity in Iceland.

Very interesting museum about Iceland’s volcanic activity. The museum is interactive forcing you to try and feel all throughout the exhibition, I can definitely recommend this.
